What is Nano Technology and to Whom It Belongs? نانوتكنولوژي چيست و از آن كيست؟
"Nano" is the name given to very small unit of measurement for length. In other words, if one divides a length of one meter into 1000,000,000 segments, then each segment is one nano-meter long. Following table shows the names of units of measurement for lengths smaller and larger that one meter.

نانو نامي است بر يكي از واحد هاي بسيار ريز سنجش طول . يعني اگر يك متر را به  يك هزارمیلیون قسمت تقسيم كنيم  آنگاه درازي هر قسمت  برابر با يك نانو متر مي باشد. جدول زير نام هاي اجزاء و اضعاف متر را نشان مي دهد.

The progression and development of various cultures are not equivalent. European and North American scientists have been successful in creating and using high-resolution tools with precision of nano-meters. On the other hand, they have been successful in creating and launching powerful missiles and systems that target the Moon, Mars and other points of cosmos that their distance from earth is measured in tera-meters. Similarly, they have created data storage chips and devices with giga- and tera-byte capacities. پيشروي علمي و فني فرهنگ هاي  انساني يكسان نيست.  اروپا و آمريكاي شمالي و چین و ژاپن و روسیه و برخی ملل و کشورهای دیگر  موفق شده اند  ابزارهائي به ظرافت و دقت  "نانو" بسازند و بكار برند.  از سوي ديگر، موفق شده اند موشكها و سيستمهاي  نيرومندي بسازند كه سفينه هائي را  به  ماه و  مريخ و نقاط دورتري از كيهان بفرستند كه فاصله آنها از زمين با  "ترامتر"  سنجيده مي شود. همچنين مخازني براي ذخيره اطلاعات ساخته اند كه با Tera-byte سنجيده مي شود و هر بايت معادل يك حرف الفبا است.
Only those human cultures can claim mastery over nano-technology that  can create by themselves all necessary tools and techniques for manipulation of nano-size objects.  فقط آن جوامع و فرهنگهاي انساني كه قادر باشند  خودشان همه ابزارهاي لازم را براي دستكاري در حد نانو بسازند  حق دارند دعا كنند كه بر نانو تكنولوژي چيره شده اند.
